I’m mainly just happy about all the stupid dumb press coverage that will now stop. Yay!

For all those people who strive on bad crap, don’t worry, there are still pedos and yobs with ASBOs to worry about.

I was a bit of a strange kid. I had strange logic that now is very easily dismissed as the babblings of a small child but at the time they were really quite scary thoughts. I genuinely used to think:

“If you stayed still long enough, you’d turn into stone”

That sentence could have evoked a few different reactions like: “Yeah, me too!” or “You were fucking weird” (or unfortunately an “awwwwwww” out of you lady readers). But I genuinely used to believe this.

In my defence I was brought up with being told that if the wind changed my face would stay like the face I was pulling. So it’s not completely out there!

I can remember once trying to stay still for ages to see if it would happen but alas, as I am still flesh and bone it either isn’t true or I just didn’t manage to stay still long enough.

In this episode I talk a little about the TV show “Top Gear”, how everyone loves iPhones and Apple, Haiti as well as what game shows should be resurrected.

The show is a little all over the place but it’s fine.

I’m probably going to get a lot of shit for this blog post but I really think it should be said.

There are a lot of musicians who are “rallying around” to try and help the people of Haiti after the recent earthquakes. Lots of people are donating money (which you can do so here) and other people are donating time to help fundraise even more money.

But I have been reading how Simon Cowell wants to record a song for Haiti as well as Jay-Z and U2. It will help raise a load of money but I think that maybe instead of doing something that will be a lot of press coverage for them on how good these people are, maybe they should just donate a few million pounds of their own money as well.

They’re going to record a song, they’re going to pat themselves on the back and the song will be used over various montages of slow motion clips from news coverage of the Earthquake.

How long will it be before Chris Martin is all over this too?

Every now and again Kylie Minogue falls off everyone’s radar and she has to say or do something to get back there.

There was the infamous golden hot pants that showed of her newly “surgically treated” arse, the horrible breast cancer that she soon recovered from and now she is claiming to be bi-curious.

In a recent interview she said “I have been attracted to some women. I am a sexual exhibitionist and part of me is a natural flirt, but although I am attracted to women, I have never done anything with them.”

Wow! A shocker. I will certainly be buying her next single. That really clinched the deal. Seriously, when celebrities say stuff like this they are doing so to be controversial.

I get the irony blogging about this as it does buy into what she is trying to do. Shame on me, but shame on her more!

One of my favourite things to watch on YouTube is the “Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This?” channel. They never fail to make me laugh!

Policemen can have fun… just maybe they shouldn’t do it so publicly. Doh!

Ask no questions

I’m going to have to come clean about something. To my knowledge I have never decided to play the “air guitar”. I genuinely haven’t. Am I missing out on something?

I just get the impression that people who pretend it’s cool or “ironic” to be an air guitarist are a bunch of no good lame-os. Anyway, there was a world record attempt for the biggest collection of people playing air guitar to the song “The One And Only” by Chesney Hawkes.

I am being cynical and stuff but I just don’t get it. The event though was to help raise funds to restore a theatre somewhere. A good cause but doesn’t make it alright! The world record has been veryfied yet. Watch this space…
